Our Team

  • Sasha Fishilevich

    CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Though born in the U.S., my first words echoed in Russian, and Ukrainian traditions colored my childhood. Every time I glimpse my reflection, I see the braids of my youth, intertwined with blue and yellow ribbons. These roots—alongside my passion for the well-being of Ukrainians, my belief in democracy, and my love for art—gave birth to Slava.Art. Through this endeavor, my mom and I have found our purpose, channeling our shared vision for a
    better, brighter world.

  • Timur Tsotsiashvili

    LEAD WEB ARCHITECT

I grew up in San Francisco, the epitome of diverse cultures, with roots tracing back to my Ukrainian mother and Georgian father. Their histories, especially tales from my grandparents who escaped the invasion of Abkhazia, have instilled in me a deep respect for the resilience of people. As a trained classical pianist, I've come to understand the profound impact of art on the human spirit. In joining Slava.Art, I combine my love for technology and art, hoping to amplify the voices of Ukrainian artists and shed light on their stories.

  • Mischa Buck

    BRAND AMBASSADOR

Most people think that a 10 year old would not have the understanding and resilience to learn and explain to others about the situation in Ukraine. I thank my heritage for that. Every day since I was born, I have been surrounded by my grandparents' happiness and my mom’s knowledge of and love for Ukraine. This has helped me understand the problems facing Ukrainian people today. As the brand ambassador, I spread the word about the unjust situation in Ukraine and promote global kindness.

  • Cici Spaniel

    SECRETARY

My passion for promoting peace and positive change in our world is what Slava.Art stands for. Growing up in a safe environment, I was shielded from the beautiful yet scary reality of other cultures and societies. I hope to open more minds to beautiful art while giving new opportunities for those in Ukraine who lost so much.

  • Maddie Daniel

    TREASURER

Born and raised in Philadelphia, I have always been interested in art and art history, specifically with art as a form of resistance throughout history.  European art has been at the center of myinterest, with older and more modern work both present.

Our Story

At our core, our nonprofit is driven by a profound and heartfelt commitment to Ukraine and its pursuit of freedom. We deeply care about the wellbeing of its people and believe that art serves as a powerful liberator of ideas and thoughts, transcending boundaries and uniting hearts. The essence of Ukrainian culture resonates deeply within us, and we are dedicated to preserving and promoting its unique heritage.

Slava.Art was born from an idea that Sasha Fishilevich and her mom Lisa Mostovoy had in Spring of 2023. We hold significant meaning to art in our houses and our hearts. Museums are a staple, our activity of choice, and the one we always thoroughly enjoy. And we’ve always loved our Slavic-style dinners, my grandma's whispering in Ukrainian under her breath, blue and yellow ribbons woven into a tight braid, and toasts that would last too long for comfort. In every crevice and corner, this was us, culture imprinted into our minds and body, forcible and true.

How do we create something to help Ukrainians? How do we introduce people to our country's cultural art?
