He created a series of works in the author's technique of expressive pointillism. Slavik has participated in many exhibitions over the last 25 years. He is truly passionate about art and about carrying the voice of Ukrainian culture using art as a medium.
Slavik Malyna
Since the onset of the invasion in Ukraine, Slavik transitioned from artist to defender, trading his paintbrush for a gun to protect his beloved Ukraine. Before the war, Slavik lived in Kyiv with his family. War has since separated them; his son remains in Kyiv, fighting for Ukrainian freedom, while his wife and daughter sought refuge abroad. Amidst the turmoil, Slavik dreams of peace, a united family, simple comforts, and the return to everyday routines.
As he says, "There is nothing more appealing now than to succumb to a daily routine. I miss those days.”
